Abstract
This study analyzed the shortcomings in the quality, accessibility, and trustworthiness of the digital services of the El Paraíso de Celén Parish Government, a context that minimized citizen participation in digital public media. Thus, the general objective was to study the influence of e-government quality on citizen participation, considering trust as a mediating factor. The methodology was quantitative, descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional, using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale and statistical analysis in SPSS. The sample consisted of 328 people from the economically active population of the parish. Furthermore, the results indicated high reliability of the instrument, with an overall Cronbach's alpha of 0.983 and a KMO of 0.880, and a positive correlation between e-government and citizen participation, with a Spearman's rho of 0.867 and a significance level of 0.000. Thus, it was concluded that optimal digital services strengthened citizen participation and institutional ties in the studied parish.
