Abstract

Transformational leadership, characterized by its ability to inspire, motivate, and foster innovation, emerges as a key element for driving meaningful change within organizations. This study explores how the sustainability of the Museo de la Gastronomía Cuencana Restaurante is directly related to transformational leadership. Although the museum fulfills an important cultural role, it has been observed that it still lacks a well-defined structure to incorporate environmental sustainability practices into its organizational culture. The objective of this research is to analyze the staff’s perception of transformational leadership and the environmental, economic, and sociocultural dimensions of sustainability at the Museo de la Gastronomía Cuencana Restaurante. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional design, using a Likert-scale survey administered to the entire population of 20 museum employees. The findings reveal a significant relationship between transformational leadership and both economic and sociocultural sustainability, while the environmental dimension requires stronger alignment with the ethical values of leadership. It is concluded that sustainability cannot be developed without an organizational culture grounded in coherent and inspiring transformational leadership.
