Abstract

This research addresses the problem of how to improve the learning of Atahualpa's reign through the use of digital technologies in formal educational contexts. The main objective was to develop an interactive platform that strengthens the teaching-learning of this historical period, integrating technological tools that allow a more meaningful educational experience. A mixed methodological approach was adopted, combining qualitative (semi-structured interview with educational authorities) and quantitative techniques (surveys applied to students and teachers of the San Luis Rey de Francia Educational Unit). The results show a generalized acceptance of the use of technological resources such as interactive guides, digital platforms, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), highlighting their usefulness in the comprehensive and dynamic reconstruction of the Inca context. At the institutional level, a favorable openness towards educational innovation through technology was identified, contrasting positively with previous studies that warned about technological barriers in the teaching of history. It is concluded that the implementation of an interactive educational platform not only strengthens historical learning, but also promotes active participation, preservation of cultural heritage and a sense of national identity.
