Abstract

The present study aims to develop a methodology that optimises leadership in social projects in Pujilí, Cotopaxi. Recognizing that leadership is fundamental to social development, the research seeks to analyse the relationship between leadership styles and project efficiency through structured surveys and a qualitative approach that captures the complexity of the rural context. The methodology used is non-experimental, with a cross-sectional, descriptive, and explanatory design. The results indicate that transformational leadership, characterized by the ability to inspire and motivate, is essential for collaboration and commitment of community actors. The importance of community participation from the early stages of projects is stressed, strengthening the social fabric and ensuring that initiatives respond to local needs. In conclusion, it is evident that transformational leadership training significantly improves project management, enabling leaders to face challenges and adapt to changes. It is suggested that the focus on transformational leadership should be a central pillar in community development strategies, promoting inclusion and social cohesion within the community.
