Abstract
This analysis addresses an essential problem in the Savings and Credit Cooperatives of La Maná Canton, the connection between the culture of the organization and the work performance of its workers. It is an environment characterized by the absence of cohesion, effective communication and dedication of the staff, these shortcomings impact considerably on the productivity and competitiveness of the entities. The main purpose of the research was to examine the effect of organizational culture on work performance, offering a precise analysis of the current situation and determining the relationship between both variables. The methodology used contemplated a correlational approach using data collection methods such as questionnaires, applied to a group of 109 workers from different cooperatives. The data were examined through statistical instruments such as the Spearman Rho index, which made it possible to detect a positive and significant correlation of 0.875 between the variables analyzed, with a significance level of 0.000. This shows that a robust organizational culture significantly increases work performance. Factor analysis detected four key elements that explain 79.25% of the total variance. These findings highlight the importance of applying tactics to strengthen the organization's culture, improving communication and fostering a higher commitment among workers. This research shows that a solid organizational culture positively influences staff motivation and performance. Not only do cooperatives benefit from the results by increasing their competitiveness, but they also foster the creation of a more rewarding and sustainable work environment.
