Abstract
This research corresponds to a project that seeks to identify the level of use and need for emerging technologies in Cuenca Companies for academic strengthening. The information and communication technologies currently used in companies and the perspective of the use of the so-called emerging technologies in the administrative and productive processes of companies are considered. In relation to this, the information obtained is analyzed, emphasizing the role of universities and the urgency of the interdisciplinary academic offers in different areas of knowledge and the integration of certain personal skills in the training of future professionals related to biomedicine, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, cybersecurity, data analytics, the internet of things, robotics.
