→ AIM & SCOPE:

PACHA. Journal of Contemporary Studies of the Global South is a quarterly refereed journal. It publishes original articles, thematic dossiers, translations, and bibliographic reviews on research, theoretical discussions, and methodological works that analyze the Global South as an economic, social, cultural, and political diversity from which emerge new processes of knowledge production, emancipation/liberation proposals in dialogue with colonial/decolonial approaches and counter-hegemonic political narratives. The journal seeks to publish articles that address in an interdisciplinary manner the temporalities, practices, and experiences emerging from classes and social groups that re-exist in the face of contemporary capitalist, patriarchal and colonial persistence, both in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

Audience:

PACHA's objective is to promote reflection on different issues related to the Social Sciences and Humanities in general, carried out by students, teachers, activists, activists, militants, and intellectuals based in the Global South, professors from the main Research Centers, as well as young researchers, and the academic public in general.

Literature on the Global South can be found in the work of Anne Garland Mahler, editor of PACHA journal. (link)
