Abstract
In today's digital age, TikTok has become one of the most influential social media platforms, especially among young people. Its success is not only due to its intuitive interface but also to its dynamic content. The use of AI in moderating news content can impact freedom of expression and the accuracy of identifying inappropriate content. In contrast, relying on algorithms for content virality raises questions about fairness and transparency on the platform. Therefore, the paper aims to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the production of news content on the TikTok social network. This research applied a mixed methodological approach, implementing observation sheets and semi-structured interviews with communication professionals and AI experts. In conclusion, AI has enabled TikTok to offer a highly personalized and dynamic experience in the news domain. However, it has also introduced significant challenges in terms of polarization, moderation, and equity.
