Abstract
The healthcare industry is constantly evolving thanks to technological advances, especially the Internet of Things (IoT), which promises to revolutionize accounting systems. This study analyzes the integration of IoT into healthcare accounting systems, exploring benefits, challenges, and implementation practices. Using a qualitative-quantitative descriptive-explanatory approach, complementary patterns and perspectives were identified. The comparative of studies highlights the increasing adoption of IoT to collect financial and operational data, improving the efficiency and accuracy of decision making. Challenges such as data security and staff training are recognized. IoT integration into healthcare accounting systems promises to optimize efficiency and transparency, with security, infrastructure and training challenges to be addressed to maximize benefits. IoT adoption coupled with robust data management strategies can transform the healthcare accounting landscape, driving innovation and financial excellence.
