Abstract

The indigenous peoples of Cauca grouped in the Regional Indigenous Council of Cauca–CRIC, advance in the demand for the right to health based on the consensus of the conception of health and Good Living, the question is, is the proposal of public policies in health the form of concretization of the right to health and Good Living, based on their own health? The objective is then to identify if the consensus in the conception of health and Good Living of the indigenous peoples of Cauca as a product of the relationship of people with nature (spirituality), territory, community and traditional authority is based on their own health as an element of struggle for the realization of the right. For this purpose, a participatory methodology was proposed, with a qualitative perspective, which had as a central aspect the dialogue of knowledge, active listening, spaces for conversation, based on the Participatory Research-Action. As a conclusion, it is established that the permanent construction, product of the relationship with others based on their own health, allows the indigenous peoples of Cauca to establish the arguments for the achievement of Good Living as the end in itself of the struggle and in the permanent exercise of the search for it.
